The independent Inquiry into the 2019–20 Victorian Fire Season identified a range of opportunities for improvement to how Victoria prepares, responds, and recovers from emergencies.
In February 2024 the Inspector-General visited select locations in East Gippsland Shire, Alpine Resorts Victoria, and Towong Shire to share information with interested communities about how actions and recommendations from the Inquiry are being implemented.
